Apollo is a well-built, dark black and tan shepherd who is about 2 years old.  When he came to the rescue, we noticed that he had a limp.  We immediately had him checked out and found that he had hip dysplasia.  Surgery was scheduled immediately with one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the area.  The surgery was very successful, and Apollo was back on his feet just a few days later.  Now, he has the distinction of being one of the shepherds THAT WE KNOW WILL NEVER HAVE HIP PROBLEMS because it was taken care of!  He recuperated very well and is now ready for a home of his own.

Apollo loves to carry his own leash when he walks.  He has a great personality, and shows a very fun-loving sense of humor.  He is very sweet and loving, but we are not sure how he is with other dogs.  He would love to go through obedience school with his new family which would make him that perfect dog that someone is looking for.  Could it be you?  Come and meet Apollo!
