Handsome and affectionate
"Chip" was hit by a car and left to die.
Fortunately, a CHP officer found him (hence the name
"Chip") and took him to Animal Control. Our
volunteers saw him there and couldn't leave him: They knew that if
German Shepherd Rescue didn't take Chip in, he would be destroyed
because the cost to repair his broken leg would be so high.
Chip is sweet, gentle and good with other
dogs. He is approximately three years old and weighs around
70 pounds. Chip is a handsome black and tan with classic
good looks. He has had surgery to repair his leg, and the
veterinarian believes that he will make a complete recovery.
He is now ready to go into his new home, provided that he takes it
easy (no jumping or running) for the next thirty days. After
that, we suspect he'll be running and playing with anyone that can
catch up to him!
We were very fortunate to be able to save
Chip's badly broken leg. If you wish to make a donation to
help us pay for Chip's veterinary bill, please mail your gift to:
