Handsome and affectionate "Chip" was hit by a car and left to die.  Fortunately, a CHP officer found him (hence the name "Chip") and took him to Animal Control.  Our volunteers saw him there and couldn't leave him: They knew that if German Shepherd Rescue didn't take Chip in, he would be destroyed because the cost to repair his broken leg would be so high.

Chip is sweet, gentle and good with other dogs.  He is approximately three years old and weighs around 70 pounds.  Chip is a handsome black and tan with classic good looks.  He has had surgery to repair his leg, and the veterinarian believes that he will make a complete recovery.  He is now ready to go into his new home, provided that he takes it easy (no jumping or running) for the next thirty days.  After that, we suspect he'll be running and playing with anyone that can catch up to him!
