Cloe is a very well behaved 6
year old black and tan female who is very confused at being
homeless. She was found running on the freeway by a
concerned animal lover. Cloe was not wearing any tags and
had only a choke collar around her neck. The good Samaritan
took Cloe to the local animal shelter so that her family could
come and reclaim her. Cloe waited day after day, but her
family never came. When Cloe's time "ran out" and
she was scheduled to be destroyed, the kind rescuer reached into
her own pocket to pay to bail her out and board her in a private
facility.
It breaks our hearts when older dogs end
up in animal shelters as they are frequently passed over again and
again by adopters who believe that a puppy offers something that
older dogs can't. Cloe will fit in nicely with any home, as
she is trained and quiet. We can not understand why someone
would not move heaven and earth to find this beautiful companion
when she became lost.
Cloe is currently in a boarding
facility. If you wish to meet her, please send an email to
the German Shepherd Rescue at gsrescue@gsrescue.org
or call (818) 558-7560 and ask how you can arrange to meet Cloe.
EVERY PET SHOULD WEAR A PERMANENT ID TAG
AT ALL TIMES. A CHOKE COLLAR SHOULD ONLY BE USED DURING
TRAINING. DOGS CAN BECOME CAUGHT ON BRANCHES OR OTHER
OBJECTS AND HANG THEMSELVES.
