We try really hard to find our dogs good,
loving, permanent homes. We try to impress upon our adopters
that bringing a dog into your life is a commitment of time,
effort, money and love. We urge adopters to think carefully
before they adopt because we would rather have someone wait if
they are not ready to accept the long-term responsibility that dog
ownership entails.
But sometimes we make mistakes...
Heidi is 8 years old. She was
adopted from our rescue 7 years ago when she was just a one year
old puppy. Three years later, the family came to adopt
Freda, another one year old puppy, to be Heidi's companion.
The two girls love each other and became close friends.
For the next four years, Heidi and Freda
enjoyed life with their family. They had it all. That
is until the sad day that the family decided to move, and they
determined that the small backyard in their new home was not
adequate for the two dogs. Heidi and Freda, after all this
time, suddenly found themselves being dropped off back at the
rescue. Their family was done with them - they were not
wanted anymore!
These two dogs are very sweet, and they
are so attached to each other that we would like to find them a
new home together if possible. It would be sad to have to
separate them after all they have been through. In spite of
being dumped by their family, the girls are very friendly and
cheerful at the rescue. They are both beautiful black and
tan girls with gorgeous coats. They are in good shape, and
are very friendly. They have big smiles on their face for
everyone that they meet. Do you have room in your heart and
home for these two lovely girls?
GERMAN SHEPHERDS DO NOT REQUIRE A LARGE
BACKYARD. THEY ENJOY BEING WITH THEIR FAMILY, AND WILL SPEND
MOST OF THEIR DAY INSIDE THE HOME. THEY DO NOT DO WELL WHEN
LEFT STRICTLY IN A BACKYARD.
