Star
|
|
|
Star is a gorgeous 3 year old female
with a very gentle disposition. and a shiny black coat. A
young child named her for the small white blaze on her
chest. Star gets along very nicely with cats and other
non-aggressive dogs. She knows basic commands and walks
nicely on a leash. Star weighs approximately 85 pounds, so
she's a big girl. She loves children and becomes very
protective over them.
Star had a wonderful home with another dog, two kitties and an adorable little girl. Unfortunately, her family had her off leash in a public park and when Star saw a jogger running toward the little girl, she sprung into action, biting the jogger on the elbow. (The jogger is fine.) Although Star's family realized that their beloved dog was simply trying to protect her little friend, they were frightened by this behavior and elected to give her to us. We promised to find the heartbroken little girl the perfect home for Star where she will be cherished and understood. Star must go to a home that is prepared to give her the correctional training that she needs. She learns quickly and craves praise and attention. Star is currently in a boarding facility.
