Summer is a magnificent sable female.  She is about 3 years old, and weighs about 80 pounds.  Summer is extremely friendly, and she loves everyone she meets.  She has a beautiful coat and looks to be in great condition.

Just a few days before Christmas, Summer's owner turned her in to a local animal shelter.  We don't know the reason why.  All we know is that Summer was going to spend the holidays not only away from her family, but sitting unloved in an cold and noisy shelter.  One of our volunteers could not stand to see her there and got her out of the shelter in spite of the fact that the rescue was very full at the time.  We're glad that she did because Summer is a wonderful dog with a terrific personality.
