Trixie is a very pretty 10-12
month old female who has definitely had some basic obedience
training. She is extremely intelligent and alert. Her
owners turned her in to us saying that she was digging, chewing
and "stealing". We're not sure what it is that she
stole--perhaps it was a car. We DO know that the other
behaviors are typical puppy growing pains that can be easily
corrected with training. This is a great and responsive dog
that needs an intelligent owner to redirect her energy to less
destructive behaviors. She is on the small side, about 65 pounds of pure
energy.
Trixie heels nicely on a leash when
encouraged and praised, and she knows basic commands
"sit" and "down". She is still a very
bouncy puppy, so she will need a home that will be patient and
consistent with her. In return, they will have a loving and
loyal companion for life.
DIGGING TYPICALLY OCCURS WHEN DOGS ARE
BORED OR HAVE NO OTHER OUTLET TO EXPEND SOME OF THEIR
ENERGY. GIVING YOUR DOG PLENTY OF EXERCISE AND ATTENTION CAN
OFTEN PREVENT DIGGING.
