German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Although we do our best to find a loving, permanent home for every one of the dogs in our care, sometimes the adopter does not live up to their end of the bargain. Zepher is a handsome 2 year old black and tan male. He is extremely sweet and loving. He was adopted from the German Shepherd Rescue when he was just a puppy. We recently received a phone call from his owner stating that he was moving into an apartment and could not keep Zepher. This nice dog who had been a loyal family member was no longer wanted.

Zepher is very confused and sad to be back at the rescue after being in a home all of this time. He does not understand why he was suddenly abandoned. He is a sweet dog, and really deserves to find a home where he will be cherished and well cared for. We are glad to get him back because we could tell from the condition of his coat that he had been left outside most of the time. This is not good for a dog's health, and it will take a few weeks of good care and a healthy diet to get him back into shape.
