German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Babee is a gorgeous dark black and tan long-haired female. She is AKC registered, and just celebrated her fourth birthday on December 2. She is very sweet and a little shy, and has very nice manners. She gets along well with other dogs, including small dogs. She has obedience training and walks nicely on a leash. She is alert and attentive, and very anxious to please. She is a good-sized girl, probably weighing around 70-80 pounds.

Babee's owners turned her in to a crowded animal shelter right before Christmas because they will be moving soon. While they were busy celebrating the holidays, Babee spent Christmas in a cold and noisy animal shelter, waiting and worrying about what was going to happen to her. When we contacted her old owner to find out more about Babee, they told us that they knew about our rescue but did not want to have to drive the 20 miles from their home to deliver her to the rescue. Instead, they gave her a one-way trip to the local "high-kill" shelter for Christmas.

This wonderful dog is looking forward to finding a loving new family who will be there for her always!
