When Bella was rescued from an animal shelter, our volunteer had to carry her to the car.  Bella was so shy, she would immediately crouch down on the floor when anyone came up to her.  Now that we have worked with her for a few weeks, she is much more playful and confident.  Bella is still very submissive, but she is frightened by other dogs.  She would probably be good with another non-aggressive dog, but it will take her a little time to become comfortable with another dog around.  Her first instinct is to be defensive when another dog approaches her, so she will just need some patience and practice.

Bella did really well at a recent adoption event.  She played nicely with the other dogs, and was very affectionate with all of the visitors.  She is a playful little girl, and is starting to come out of her shell.  Bella is going to be gorgeous when she fills out.
