Cherokee

Cherokee is a handsome black and red 3 year old male.  He is very sweet and shy, and he is still getting used to the fact that he no longer has a family.  He has a beautiful coat that will be soft and gorgeous once he is groomed and has been given some good nutrition.  He is housebroken and rides well in the car.  He gets along well with other dogs, and lets his canine foster sister boss him around.  Cherokee is incredibly fast and has a beautiful gait.  He is a little shy with people that he has just met, but he warms up when he knows that you are a friend.

Cherokee was picked up by animal control.  He was wearing a collar with a dog license attached.  However, when animal control contacted his owner, they claimed that he was not their dog.  They did not even acknowledge the fact that this boy was once a part of their family.  Luckily for Cherokee, a volunteer at the shelter bought him some extra time so that he could get out of the shelter alive.  She contacted us and we took this sweet dog into boarding until we can bring him into the rescue.

Cherokee has a tattoo in his ear.  After checking the registry, we discovered that his official name is 'Eddie von Hundekaiser'.  Sadly, this wonderful dog was sold by the breeder to someone who did not care for him.  The breeder got his money, and 'Eddie' almost lost his life.

Cherokee is currently in a foster home.  If you are interested in adopting him, please fill out an application by clicking on the button below, or call (310) 838-6694 and ask how you can arrange to meet Cherokee.
