Cleo

German Shepherd Rescue got a call from a local police dept.  They had received many calls from neighbors regarding the deplorable treatment and conditions a sweet German Shepherd was being subjected to.  It was time for them to step in to help this innocent dog.  When our volunteer got to the home, she was sickened by what she saw.  Chained to a metal pole in the middle of a dirt lot, with no shade (in August) and no food or water was a beautiful German Shepherd.  Very frightened, and obviously underweight and uncared for.

As our volunteer approached this little sweetie in a kind and caring manner, her little face just lit up !!!  Someone was paying attention to her!!!  She ran to the end of her chain and just danced with glee, as if to say "yipee, yipee, come play with me!!!"

She has the most beautiful amber eyes with a black outline that look right into your heart.  With her natural "eyeliner" we knew we had to name her Cleo.  Cleo is 2 years old.  She is AKC registered.  She has extensive obedience training, and is well socialized with people and other dogs.  Her owner paid a lot of money for her, and invested thousands of dollars in her training.  Hard to believe, but after putting so much into this beautiful dog, he left her neglected and ignored in the yard until the police department stepped in.  Cleo deserves better.  And now she will have a chance to get a loving home with a family who will cherish her.

Cleo is currently in boarding because the rescue is full.  If you wish to meet her, please fill out an application by clicking on the button below, or call (714) 206-9002 and mention that you are interested in meeting Cleo.
