Get ready for another sad story!

When Crystal was rescued from the shelter, she was so thin they could not spay her!  They must not have even examined her at the shelter, because they mistakenly told us that Crystal was a male dog.  Her fur was matted, and caked with dried paint!  This sweet girl was in bad shape.  When our volunteer brought her into a vet office to get her checked-out, everyone in the office stopped what they were doing and just stared at the sight of this poor dog.  Everyone was choked up with emotion for this sweet girl.

Our volunteer brought her home and gave her a bath.  It took 2 hours, and she had to scrub to try to get the paint off of her.  Her fur was falling out in clumps.  She heard her making a sound, but it wasn't growling - she was purring with content!  Crystal was so happy to have someone loving and caring for him for a change!  She was so grateful to her rescuer, she gave her a gentle kiss to say "thank you"!

Crystal is currently in a boarding facility because the rescue is full.  If you wish to meet her, please send an email to the German Shepherd Rescue at gsrescue@gsrescue.org or call (310) 838-6694 and ask how you can arrange to meet Crystal.  We are also looking for a foster home for her.  Please contact us if you would like to foster a sweet dog like Crystal.
