During the 'America's
Family Pet Expo' event in Pomona, one of our volunteers noticed
that the Norco Animal Shelter was trying to find a home for a
darling 9 month old sable shepherd male. He had been adopted
from their shelter when he was only 3 months old by a family whose
son was afraid of dogs. They felt that, by adopting a young
puppy, the son would overcome his fear of dogs. After 6
months of trying, they decided that their plan had failed.
So this poor pup found himself back at the animal shelter,
wondering why his family didn't want him any more!
When we heard this sad story, we decided
that we had to help this innocent boy. We adopted him, and
he attended all three days at the Expo -- playing with other dogs
and greeting the hundreds of people who visited our booth.
By the end of the event, we had SEVERAL applications to adopt
Expo! He is such a friendly and bouncy boy, everyone wanted
him.
Then, to our surprise, we found out that
Expo has hip dysplasia! This was quite a shock because he is
so young. We are currently trying to raise the money to pay
for hip surgery. Expo desperately needs some donations so
that he can get the medical care that he requires.
Can you help Expo to get his
surgery? Please send donations to:
German Shepherd Rescue
Attn: Expo
417 N. Moss Street
Burbank, CA 91502
or go to the PayPal website and make a
credit card donation directly to help with Expo's surgery!
Expo thanks you from the bottom of his heart! Read more
about Expo's surgery here!
