Frieda is a wonderful 7 year old classic black and
red female. She is very friendly, and loves attention.
She is housebroken and has some obedience training, but could use
a refresher course because she is still pretty strong. Frieda
really wants to find a new family soon! Every time someone
walks by her kennel, she playfully picks up a toy and brings it to
the front of the kennel to try to get you to play with her.
Frieda was originally adopted from German
Shepherd Rescue as a pup. Her owners later adopted another
dog from us, Heidi, to keep her company. The two dogs got
along great. Then, the owners decided to move and they did
not want to keep the dogs. So, back they came to the rescue
after being in a home most of their adult lives. They were
so sad to find themselves back at the rescue.
We thought that Heidi and Frieda were
inseparable. However, recently, they got into an
argument. At that point, we have decided that they can be
adopted out separately. Heidi was adopted shortly
thereafter, but Frieda is still patiently waiting for her new
family to come for her.
This poor girl is getting very worried
that no one will want her. She has started to chew on the
tip of her tail, even to the point where it bleeds. This is
similar to chewing on your fingernails -- a sign of being nervous
or worried. Can you give Frieda a loving home where she
never has to worry about being dumped again?
Frieda is
currently in a boarding facility because the rescue is full.
