Galina

Galina Vom Hundekaiser is a 2 1/2 year old black and tan female with a tattoo in her ear.  Her birthday is March 16, 1999.  She is very playful and energetic.  She gets along with other dogs once she is introduced, and she is even good with small dogs.  She is good with kids but she can be overly playful and jump up on them (see the photos below of Galina with her foster family).  She likes stuffed toys, and thinks that it is a fun game to steal the kid's toys in her foster home.  She always gives them back without a fuss.  She is learning to be housebroken, and crate trained.

We found Galina in a local high-kill animal shelter, patiently waiting for her owner to come and rescue her.  She was wearing a dog license on her collar, but the shelter did not hear anything from the registered owner after attempting to notify them!  Galina's time was running out at the shelter, so we rescued her before it was too late.

Sadly, this is the SECOND dog that we have rescued with a tattoo from the same breeder -- both within weeks of each other!  Cherokee also came from the same breeder, and also ended up in an animal shelter with time running out!

Galina is currently in a foster home.  If you wish to meet her, please send an email to robin@gsrescue.org or call (310) 838-6694 and ask how you can arrange to meet Galina.
