Gina must have her own guardian angel!  She ended up at an animal shelter, and had run out of time.  As she was literally being walked to the "back room" to be put to sleep, she happened to be led right past one of our volunteers who was visiting the shelter.  The volunteer asked where Gina was going, and was horrified to hear the answer!  Gina was on her way to be killed!

Well, you know what happened next!  Overwhelmed by tears, our volunteer quickly made arrangements to get Gina safely out of the shelter.  How could we let something so terrible happen to such a sweet little dog?

Gina is about 2 years old.  The shelter told us that she had been left tied to a tree, with a very tight rope around her neck.  Her owners had abandoned her to starve to death.  In spite of this horrendous treatment, this shy girl is very sweet and loving.  She is a little hesitant around men, but will overcome that once she feels that she can trust.  She is good with children.  She has some obedience training, and really wants to please.  She is a little fearful of other dogs and can be a little defensive at first.

Are you Gina's guardian angel?
