Brandon was found tethered to a poll and hanging over a chain link fence.  One of his paws was stuck in the chain link and he could not free himself because the rope was not long enough.  Thank goodness animal control happened upon him when they did, and were able to save this poor boy from hanging himself.  Although no immediate person claimed Brandon as their dog, he waited and waited at the shelter for someone to come for him.  The shelter staff loved him and kept him much longer than needed.  Brandon soon became known as the "sit and shake boy" because he sits on command and gives you his regal paw to shake.  Someone obviously spent time with this dog at some point in his life.  Unfortunately, they let him down when he really needed help.  Although our rescue is so full, we had to make room for this great boy.  He is currently in boarding and would love to find a home of his own.
