German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Bruno is a big, gorgeous, 2-3 year old black and tan male. He is the type of dog who stops traffic because he is so incredibly handsome. He is a big boy, probably weighing around 90 pounds. He has a beautiful coat and nice markings. Everyone is attracted to this gorgeous dog. Bruno has some obedience training, but we would like to place him into a home with an experienced owner. He can be assertive, so he needs to be with someone who knows how to work with confident dogs. Although he was raised in a home with children, we feel that he would do best in an adult home.

Bruno's owners bought him from a breeder when he was just a pup. They left him in their backyard, and never socialized him with people, other animals, or even to just take him out for a walk. After time, he started to bark out of sheer boredom. When the neighbors complained, Bruno's owners decided that they might as well just get rid of him.

When he first came into the rescue, it was very traumatic for Bruno. Since he had never been outside of his backyard, being abandoned by the only people that he knew was very difficult. After a few weeks, Bruno settled down and learned that life at the rescue was not that scary. Once he gets to know you, he is a very loving and loyal boy.
