German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Hope is a sweet and petite German Shepherd mix that was found in a dumpster at a business complex. We do not know if she went in to search for food and got trapped, or if someone put her in their deliberately. Hope appears to be approximately 5 years old and has lived a hard life, but her disposition is forgiving and gentle. She was emaciated and weak when she was found, but has gotten stronger in our care.

We think that Hope is a German Shepherd/Dobie mix, but she only weighs around 45 pounds. She gets along well with other non-aggressive dogs, but can get a little bit defensive if she becomes frightened. We are seeking a quiet, adult-only home for Hope so that she can finally know the warmth and stability that comes with love and kindness. This dog will really shine once she knows that someone cares about her.
