Sadie is a sweet and petite 12 month old black and tan female. She
was a little shy when she first came into the rescue, but now that
she knows she is safe, she is starting to come out of her shell.
Sadie is good with other non-aggressive dogs. She loves
attention, and would like to be in a home where she is not left
home alone for a long period of time. She is obedience trained, and responds to hand
signals. She can be protective, like most German Shepherds.
Sadie would do well in a quiet home without a lot of commotion.
She just needs someone who will be patient with her and help her
overcome her shyness.
When people come to meet Sadie for the first time, she puts on
a big act -- barking as if she is a brave and protective girl.
She does a pretty convincing job, but all of us who know her can
see through her act. Once you open her kennel door, she will
hide in her igloo (or behind it). Sadie is a very shy and
insecure sweetheart who is looking for a very special person.
Once she bonds with you, you will have a friend forever. She
would love to sleep at your feet, and be your life-long companion.
Sadie was rescued from an animal shelter on her last day.
