Lady

Lady is a beautiful black and tan female, approximately 18 months old.  Lady is approximately 50 pounds with classic shepherd looks.  She and her brother, Bruno, were picked up as strays wearing ID tags, however when their owners were contacted, they elected not to come to bail their dogs out of the pound!  We know that we can find Lady a home that values her much more than this, so we were eager to scoop her up and get her to safety!  She has just arrived so we are getting to know her better.

Before you adopt a young dog, please remember that German Shepherd Dogs behave like puppies until they are at least 2 years old, and sometimes even longer!  Young shepherds are active, curious, silly, and sometimes mischievous, so please think long and hard about the responsibility associated with adopting a young dog before you make any decision.  Adoption is a lifetime commitment, and with good care and a little luck, shepherds can live between 10 to 15 years.  Lady's new home should have a nice secure yard, and at least a 6 foot fence.

Bruno and Lady are available for adoption either separately or as a pair.  They are currently in a boarding kennel.  If you are interested in meeting either of them, please click on the button below and fill out our online adoption application.

NOTE: We have another dog named 'Lady' at the rescue, so please be sure to specify which one you are interested in meeting.
