This is Luke.  His original name was D.O.G. (Dee-Oh-Gee), but we decided to change it.  He is a handsome classic black and tan male German Shepherd.  He is around 8-9 years old.  He was a faithful and loyal companion to his owner until she had to move and could not take him with her.  She had to bring him to the shelter.  He was so scared that she literally had to drag him in.  He could probably smell the fear and sadness in the shelter, and he knew that he didn't want to go in there.  But, as much as he didn't want to go, he reluctantly followed his owner in and allowed her to place him into a cage.  That would be the last time that he would see her.

Luke is a sweet and loving boy who has good manners.  He is good with other dogs, and is fine with cats.  He is friendly but not overbearing.  He is gentle and a little on the shy side.  He is getting used to being a pampered dog now, and he loves to have company.  He just really doesn't want to be abandoned by his people again now that he knows what it is like to be loved.
