Morgan

Before arriving at German Shepherd Rescue, Morgan had a positively horrible life.  From the time he was small until the time that he was finally dumped at the animal shelter by his cruel owners, Morgan was kept chained to a pole and given next to no attention at all.  Making matters even worse, a group of neighborhood kids threw rocks at Morgan to see if they could hit him as their "target".  Needless to say, Morgan needs a very special home with someone who can understand the terror that he endured.

Morgan is 2-3 years old and approximately 60 pounds.  He has completed a basic obedience class with one of our dedicated volunteers, and he is very eager to please the people that he trusts.  He has a lot of energy and really enjoys running on a leash or in a yard.  He greets the people that he loves with wiggles and wags and exuberant kisses.  Morgan's ideal home is a quiet one with one or two adults and no children at all.  Because of the abuse he has endured, he will probably never be the kind of dog that can go to a dog park and play nicely with other dogs, or the kind of dog that you can take to ball games or to Starbucks, but he IS the kind of dog who would give his entire heart to his beloved owner.  He will flourish in the right environment and prove his devotion over and over.  Morgan needs someone who is experienced in providing an alpha dog with leadership, direction and consistency.  He is not for everyone, but the person who adopts Morgan will truly be rehabilitating a dog that deserves to know that not all people are cruel.

Please help us to find Morgan his happy ending.  He has been waiting a very long time for someone to love...
