Sheba

Sheba is an 18 month old, gorgeous, black and tan female purebred German Shepherd.  She is extremely affectionate and will follow you around until you stop so that she can get some "good pats".  She will also reach out with her paws while laying down and try to get your attention by pawing at your legs.  Sheba is a real love bug!  She knows the basic commands - sit, shake, down - and performs them with gusto!  She really enjoys trying to please you!  Sheba loves kids, gets along well with other dogs, and loves to play chase, but she has trouble keeping up due to her needing surgery on her elbows.

Sheba was limping after playing with another dog, so she was taken to a vet and had x-rays done.  They revealed that she has a condition called "Un-united Anconeal Process" - a birth defect which worsened by being fed the wrong kind of puppy food.  The good news is this can be corrected so she has full function of her front elbows by shaving off the extended bone which causes her joints to become inflamed.  Unfortunately our medical fund has been used up by a run of medical problems that never seem to stop.  We need your help so Sheba can lead a normal, happy life free of pain which has plagued her from puppy-hood.  She is in a foster home waiting for enough donations to pay for her surgery.
