Shelby

Shelby is a stunning 2 year old classic-looking black and tan female.  The rescue received a call from a senior official with a local animal shelter regarding this wonderful dog who's time (and luck) had run out.  She was dumped at the shelter by her family on Halloween.  She was no longer wanted...

There she sat, day after day, week after week, month after month, watching everyone pass her by.  "Do you have any puppies" they would ask, never even bothering to consider this sweet young girl who dances with delight when going for a walk and will kiss you all day long.  The shelter called and this was it -- we were Shelby's only hope.  If we could not rescue her, she was going to be put down that night after the shelter closed.  We could not stand by as this brave and loving girl was put down after surviving almost 3 months in a cold shelter.  As our rescuers brain screamed out "We are slammed with dogs, we have no more room or money!!!", her heart took over, and before she knew it she answered, "We'll be there tomorrow morning to get her".

Shelby is an all around sweetheart.  She appears to be good with other dogs, even a little Pug puppy at the Vet's office.  She may be good with cats, because she just walks up to them and wags her tail.  She is very loving and adores going 'bye-bye'.  She is grateful for any attention and will bond very strongly with her family.  She would do best in a home where she is not left alone for long hours, as she is very worried about being abandoned again.  Shelby is spayed, current on her vaccinations and is micro-chipped.  All she wants is a family to love and call her own...

Shelby is in boarding.  If you wish to meet her, please click on the button below and fill out our online adoption application, or call (714) 206-9002 for more information on Shelby.
