Meet Oso...
We named him Oso, because he is O-So
handsome!!! Oso came to us with a sad story. He has spent his
life in a cage. Yes, you read that right -- not even a dog run.
This sweet boy spent his life living in a cage!!! When he was no
longer wanted, he was dumped at a high kill animal shelter. Oso
caught the eye of one of our volunteers who put out a plea to save
this special dog. Another volunteer dropped everything and went
and got Oso off of "death row" in the nick of time. Oso would
have been put down that night...
Oso was so frightened, our hearts just
broke for this darling boy. We rushed him to the vet and with
some 'TLC', Oso is going to be just fine. He has discovered how
wonderful life can be when you are loved and cared for. Oso no
longer cowers -- he prances and dances and gives kisses. We knew
after living in a cage, Oso would need to build up muscle and
therefore we take him for walks everyday. Oso just loves his
walks, and his tail never stops wagging. On a walk at the local
park, he greeted everyone with a smile. Oso loves life and
everything it has to offer. He loves people, dogs, both large and
small (he gave kisses to a 3 pound terrier). Oso is happy
just to be by your side... You want to go for a walk? Great!!!
You want to hang out and watch a movie? Oso's right there with
you!!!
Oso has an excellent temperament and is
just an all around great dog. Whatever scars he carries in his
heart do not affect his love of people and life itself. Oso
recently went to 'A Dogs Day Out', a doggie day care, and was the
hit of the place. He ran and played and just had a great time.
He got along with all the other dogs and when our volunteer picked
him up that afternoon, his card had a gold star on it for good
behavior! :-)
Oso is about 4 years old and will weigh
about 75 pounds when he fills out. Oso is loving, caring and
devoted. He is looking for the same traits in his forever
family....
Oso is in boarding. If you are interested in meeting him, please
