Rose

Beautiful Rose is a 5 year old black female with a white spot on her chest. She is Honey Bear's mother. (Honey Bear has already been adopted) Rose would probably prefer a home where she is the only canine princess. Rose is trained, and she knows 'sit', 'down', 'shake', and will 'talk' with a special command. She LOVES to play ball. Rose gets attached to her people, and will need to learn not to be overly protective of them. She needs an experienced owner. She loves attention, and ejoys being brushed and pampered.
Update 9/5/2005 - Yesterday, Rose came down with bloat, and was rushed to the vet. Bloat is a serious, life-threatening disease that large breed dogs are prone to. We need to raise almost $4000 to pay for Rose's bloat surgery! She's making great progress (see post-surgery photos below) but we don't have the funds to pay the bill! Please help pay Rose's medical bill!

Update 12/1/2005 - Rose is our Dog of the Month for December. She pulled through her bout with bloat perfectly and is as good as new. All she wants for Christmas (or Chanukah or Kwanza) is to go home with someone who will let her nap on (or near) the couch.
