Spirit

This young guy is a year and a half and shows that wonderful protective shepherd personality. Unfortunately he wasn't very socialized when he was younger and can be very untrusting of strange people and dogs. He would do best as the only dog in a household with older or no children. Spirit needs an experienced shepherd owner who can teach him when to be protective and when not to be. He is coming around and becoming more social with the help of the volunteers, but he definitely needs more guidance and socialization to help him on his way. His age is on his side and his issues may be easily addressed with consistent and positive training. He loves to give kisses and is very playful on a walk. He is going to be a great addition to the right family!
