Fritz

Fritz (formerly Carl) is an adorable 2 year old Shepherd mix with a beautiful golden coat. He is very loving and loyal, and he gets along well with other dogs. He loves belly rubs and getting brushed. He loves riding in the car and has good manners. He has some obedience training and is easy to walk because he stays right by your side.

Fritz was rescued from a local animal shelter on his last day. Our volunteer went to the shelter to rescue another dog, and just could not leave Fritz behind when he laid his head in her hand and pleaded with his eyes for help.

Fritz was adopted by a loving couple. He was a perfect canine companion to them - wonderful manners and a great personality. He chased the cat but didn't try to hurt it. He loved his walks and bonded particularly tightly to the woman. Unfortunately the couple found that the husband has some serious medical concerns. They needed to move into an assistive living facility that had a 30 pound weight limit on dogs. While it broke their hearts to bring Fritz back to us they were confident that we would find him a forever home.
