Some days are just plain lucky for German Shepherd Rescue. Like the day that one of our eagle-eyed volunteers spotted this gem of a puppy crammed into a cage at a high-volume, high-kill shelter. In the midst of chaos little Joey quietly sat, and in a dignified manner, asked if he could be rescued, please. Our volunteer immediately scooped him up and got him safe.
This four-month-old bundle of fun is destined to be at the top of his class. Remarkably focused and confident, he is sure to flourish and thrive with consistent training and love. He is already mastering basic commands, and exhibits an extraordinary desire to please and ability to learn.
Although Joey prefers the company of humans, he is also happy sharing his space with other dogs, cats, and horses. He sleeps all night in a crate without accidents or crying, is just about housebroken, and walks politely on a leash.
If you are interested in meeting this precocious boy, please fill out an online application first, so we can learn more about you, and e-mail dforsyth@socal.rr.com if you would like more information.
