Xena

This loving girl has had a rough start in life but shows that typical German Shepherd resiliency. She was beaten by her previous owner. A caring person witnessed what was happening and paid the man to take her away from her abusive home. They brought her to us begging us to find her a loving and caring home. Besides being a little head shy, Xena is so sweet and loving it is amazing that she has maintained her trust in people. She barks when she initially meets people but immediately comes up to them when they sit down quietly and wait for her to be comfortable. She is good with other dogs and children. However, it would be best to place her in a quieter home with older (teenage) children if possible. She is lovely on the leash and gives the sweetest kisses to show her appreciation for even the smallest kindnesses that we show her.
