This sweetheart was hit by a car and left for dead by the side of the road. After being picked up by animal control, she made her way to us... and we rushed her to a vet. She's an awesome girl, sweet and friendly, who loves to play and cuddle. She's doing quite well with the huge cast that covers her entire leg. It hardly slows her down.
Our medical bills for her surgery and care are already several thousand dollars. Any donations to our medical fund would help us with that bill. We're working on rebuilding our medical fund so we can be ready for the next SJ.
Update 2/23/2008: Sarah Jessica was adopted to a wonderful and loving home. She's been recovering amazingly well - and has so much vim and vigor that you wouldn't know she'd ever been injured -- too much energy if that's possible. She was able to climb an 8 foot tall chain link fence and chewed up a door due to some seperation anxiety. She has come back to the rescue to try and find a home with even taller fences, or where she won't be left alone.
Update: 4/20/2008: We're hoping the second time's the charm. Sarah Jessica went home with a wonderfully trained lab. If just a little bit of his manners rub off on her, she's going to be bringing in the slippers in no time!
