Frida

While she may not fancy other dogs, Frida just loves people. On adoption days, while the other dogs like to bark and greet their visitors, Frida pushes her whole body up against the kennel door so she can get close to each person walking by - this girl wants to get noticed! When the kennel traffic quiets down, Frida snuggles up to her favorite companion, the stuffed hedgehog. But what she really wants is a home where she can be a lap dog, a companion on long walks, and most of all a beloved pet.

Frida has a rich golden-reddish coat the color of a gorgeous sunset, and a sun-shiny personality to match. As a matter of fact, the shelter even begged us to take her on her last day. We were full, but we couldn't resist this sweetheart once we met her.

Frida is petite in size and has a lovely temperament. Although she is the sweetest and most affectionate dog, Frida is a strong girl and we do recommend an experienced owner to give her proper guidance on the walk and when encountering other dogs. We are working with her to develop good "doggie social skills," but she will need someone patient and consistent to continue with her training. And boy is she worth it! You won't find more love and loyalty in a dog twice her size!
