Lily is a lovely lady dog. She's full of mischief, and energy. She loves to play games. Run between the legs, or jump - but only when invited. This beautiful girl is well mannered, and while she comes off a little standoffish when you first meet her, she's a very sweet and affectionate girl when you get to know her and she gets to know you
Lilly is an exquisite black and silver shepherd. She is friendly and playful, and likes other friendly dogs. She was brought to the shelter by a couple who had initially rescued her from an abusive situation. The shelter workers fell fast for this sweet, charming dog and began to network her. However, in spite of her lovely personality and beauty, potential adopters let an easily manageable eye condition called Pannus scare them away.
Pannus is not a big deal; we've seen plenty of shepherds with this condition. Simply put, Lilly will need twice daily eye drops for the rest of her life to maintain healthy eyes and clear vision. In the few weeks that we've had Lilly with us at the rescue, her previously untreated condition has for the most part reversed itself with daily medication that literally takes about 30 seconds to apply. Lilly seems to understand and patiently allows us to put the drops in her eyes. Ideally, she should not be exposed to extensive sunlight in order to maintain eye health.
Lilly is an active, well mannered dog that loves to walk, hike and run. She's great on the leash and is happy to sit and stay. Why not let her stay with you the rest of her life! Lily is waiting for your love!
