UPDATE December 2013: Bronson’s coat has almost completely grown in! He has a few patches on his legs that are a little bare but other than that he is a brand new pup! He is back to a normal weight and has so much energy! Bronson is such a great dog who has gone through a lot, but is always in a great mood and can’t wait for people to come and spend time with him. He would love to have a forever family for Christmas so come by to meet this happy guy today!
Bronson is a 7 or 8 year old shepherd who was left at the Baldwin Park Shelter by his owner. He has a very bad skin condition, but despite that his happy personality shines through and the Baldwin Park staff knew we would be able to help him find a forever home. Bronson gets a medicated bath every few days and is recovering wonderfully. You can see from his new pictures that a good amount of fur on his sides and shoulders is growing in really fast! He is a really affectionate dog and whines like a puppy when he sees the volunteers. If you start petting him he won’t let you stop, and he’ll reposition himself depending on where he wants a rub, and then the leg starts stomping…
UPDATE August 22, 2013: Bronson has been released from the vet! He is at the Rescue now where we will continue his meds and care. As you can see he is still a happy dog!
August 2013: Bronson is at GS Rescue’s vet being treated for his skin condition. Once he’s at a point where he’s healthy enough to have visitors he’ll be available for adoption. He has a very cute face and smile and seems to be in good spirits. In the meantime, if you’d like to help this boy, please donate to our rescue for his medical care. We do need assistance with his medical care as we are a completely donation-funded rescue. Every little bit helps and it won’t be long before his new coat is blowing in the wind (probably with a slow-motion effect). Check back frequently for updates on his condition and for more pictures.
