Katrina was so enthusiastic when we first brought her to the shelter.  While most dogs get very scared in the beginning, she wanted to get to know every person and dog right away.  She has a lot of energy and has a great build for endurance.  She is 3 years old and because of her strong back and hindquarters, she will be a hiking and jogging partner for life.  Because of her zest for life and her energy, she wants to run right away after leaving her kennel, but after letting her run around for just a few minutes she walks right next to you, gives you eye contact, and wants to be loved.  While most of the dogs are jumping all over the place in the kennel, we found the way to Katrina’s heart-just being rubbed on.  As soon as you start rubbing on her, or brushing her, she is calm and still, basking in the love that she deserves.  Though she doesn’t care for cats, she would do well in a home with another dog to show her the ropes.  Come see our special girl!
