This sweet and loving 4 year old shepherd is Kepler, but he sometimes goes by Keppy!  When he’s not pondering the planets he loves going for car rides, running on the beach and playing in the water, and just being near his family.  He loves people and children.  Keppy is social with everyone, but he is also naturally protective of his family.  He has been crate trained and doesn’t mind going in his crate, and is used to being boarded if his family goes on vacation but doesn’t take him with (sigh).  He has had some basic obedience training and will come when called.  He is a very smart dog and is eager to work and learn.  Kepler gets along with other well-behaved dogs, and might be okay with a cat with some training so he knows not to chase.  Kepler is a wonderful dog who has now been at the Rescue longer than any of our current dogs.  He would do best in a forever family where he will receive strong leadership and in return he will truly be man’s best friend.
